Applying to the PhD Program

Applications for the PhD program are open all year round. Those who wish to apply for scholarships offered by Brazilian government agencies must respect the specific deadlines for submitting their applications. The enrolment in the PhD Program occurs in March and August. The calendar and other regulations about the application and the selection process are avalilable here. Applying to the MSc Program

There are two types of applications for the MSc Program, one for residents and a second one for non-residents, each with its own calendar. Candidates who are Brazilian residents are, in addition, expected to achieve an above-average score in the POSCOMP, a national exam organized by the Brazilian Computing Society. About PPGC

The Graduate Program in Computer Science is one of the largest and one of the most traditional programs in Computer Science in Brazil. It offers both PhD and Master courses in diverse areas of Computer Science. It has nearly 50 supervisors working on 13 research areas.
